Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Autohype (“we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it.

1. What we collect

When you use Autohype we collect:

• Account data: email address, name (if provided), authentication tokens. Required to log you in and bill you.
• Content you upload: your music files, song titles, artwork, and any text you add (captions, hooks, descriptions).
• Generated content: the videos, scripts, and captions we produce on your behalf.
• Connected social accounts: when you connect TikTok or Instagram, we receive OAuth tokens (we never see your password) and analytics data (views, likes, comments) for the videos we posted.
• Payment data: processed by our payment provider (Paddle / Stripe). We see your billing email and subscription status, never your full card number.
• Usage data: log files, IP address, browser type, pages visited. Standard server logs.

2. Why we collect it

• To provide the service (generate & post videos for you);
• To bill you and process payments;
• To send you product emails (account, payments, important changes);
• To improve the service and debug issues;
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Third parties we share data with

We use the following sub-processors:

• Supabase (database & auth) — stores your account and uploaded files.
• Paddle (payments) — processes your subscription billing. Subject to Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• Resend (email) — delivers product emails.
• Argil AI (avatar generation) — receives the AI script we send to generate talking-head videos.
• Shotstack (video rendering) — composes the final video file.
• Pexels (stock footage) — provides licensed B-roll clips.
• OpenAI (script generation) — generates ad scripts based on your music.
• TikTok / Instagram / YouTube — receive the videos we post on your behalf via their official APIs.
• Vercel (hosting) — serves the Autohype website.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.

4. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct or update inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your account and personal data (this also deletes the videos we generated);
• Export your data (your songs, your generated videos, your analytics);
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails (you'll still receive transactional emails about your subscription).

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@autohype.ai. We respond within 30 days.

5. Data retention

• Account data: kept while your account is active, then deleted 30 days after closure (90 days for billing records, as required by law).
• Uploaded music files: kept while your channel is active or for 90 days after you cancel, whichever is later. Then deleted.
• Generated videos: kept indefinitely on TikTok/Instagram (they belong to your social channel). Our internal copies are deleted 6 months after generation.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security: HTTPS everywhere, encryption at rest for stored files, hashed authentication tokens, and least- privilege access for our team. No system is 100% secure; we maintain commercially reasonable safeguards.

7. Cookies

We use functional cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States, the European Union, or the United Arab Emirates depending on which sub-processor handles it. All sub-processors are bound by data protection agreements.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be emailed to you at least 14 days before they take effect.
