Marketplace Terms & Refund Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
These Marketplace Terms govern orders placed on the Autohype marketplace, where independent artists (“buyers”) purchase music-promotion and related services from third-party providers (“sellers”). They apply in addition to our general Terms of Service. Where the two conflict for a marketplace order, these Marketplace Terms control. Autohype's automated posting subscription (Autopilot) is a separate product governed by the general Terms and Pricing.
1. Autohype's role
Autohype operates the marketplace platform and processes payments through our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record. Autohype is not the provider of the promotional or studio services listed by sellers. Each seller is solely responsible for the service they offer and deliver. Autohype facilitates the transaction, holds funds until an order is resolved, and provides dispute support, but is not a party to the service itself.
2. Orders & payment
- Prices are set by each seller and shown, with any paid add-ons, before you pay.
- You are charged in full when you place the order. After payment you submit your requirements (your track and a short brief) so the seller can start.
- Autohype retains a platform fee (commission) on each order; the remainder is the seller's payout. The fee is reflected in the price you see and is not added on top at checkout.
3. Delivery & requirements
- Each listing shows a delivery time. The clock starts when you submit complete requirements, not at payment.
- You must have the rights to any music or material you provide, and you keep 100% ownership of your song. You grant the seller a limited licence to use it only to perform the service you ordered.
- A delivery is “conforming” if it matches the listing description and your brief.
4. Revisions
If a delivery does not match the listing or your brief, you may request a revision from the order page before accepting it. The order returns to the seller to correct. Sellers may state a limit on the number of revisions in their listing.
5. Acceptance
You have a review window to accept a delivery or request a revision. If you take no action within that window after a conforming delivery, the order is treated as accepted and the seller is paid out. Accepting an order releases payment to the seller.
6. Refunds
- Not delivered on time: if a seller does not deliver within the stated time and does not agree a new date with you, you are entitled to a full refund.
- Not satisfied: if a delivery does not match what was promised, you can request a revision or, if it cannot be resolved, a full refund.
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Once an order is accepted and paid out to the seller, it is generally final, except where required by law.
7. Disputes
If you and a seller cannot resolve an issue, either party can contact Autohype support. We review the order, the brief, the delivery and the messages, and decide in good faith whether to refund the buyer, release payment to the seller, or split the outcome. Filing a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank instead of using our process may delay resolution and can lead to account suspension.
8. Prohibited services
Sellers may not offer, and buyers may not request, services that rely on:
- fake streams, bots, or artificial plays;
- fake followers, likes, comments or other fake engagement;
- fraudulent or bot-driven playlists, or guaranteed editorial/Spotify placement;
- hidden payola or undisclosed paid placement presented as organic;
- fake press articles, fake reviews, or fabricated statistics;
- reselling a service the seller has no right to provide, or promoting to an audience or on a media property they do not control.
Orders found to breach this section may be cancelled and refunded, and the seller removed.
9. Reviews
Buyers may leave a rating and review after an order. Reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Star ratings and review counts shown on a seller's profile reflect their verified track record and established reputation; written reviews on order history come from real Autohype orders.
10. Seller obligations & suspension
Sellers must be truthful about what they offer, deliver what they sell, respond to buyers, and comply with these Terms and our Acceptable Use Policy. Autohype may suspend or remove a seller for repeated late or non-delivery, misrepresentation, prohibited services, or abuse.
11. Rights in delivered work
Unless a listing states otherwise, once an order is completed you receive the usage rights needed for the purpose described in the listing (for example, a promotional video to post, or a remastered audio file to release). You always keep ownership of your underlying song.
